The Kenny Family
In case you wanted to know a little more about all of us, well, here it is. My husband and I have been married for 15 years and are more in love each
passing year. We have a daughter, Ashley, who was born in 1994. Then 4 years later, in 1998 our son, TJ, was born. When TJ was about 2 years old
we became licensed foster parents for the state of Iowa and eventually adopted 4 children through the foster/adopt program in Iowa. Kay came to us
as a 5 week old baby in January of 2000. We adopted her when she was 2. Todd came to us as a 15 month and we were able to adopt him when he
was 2 1/2. He was born in 2001. Then Annjolena and Stephen, who are biological siblings, came to us when Annjolena was almost 4 and Stephen was 2
1/2. We adopted them in 2003. So right now we have a 14 year old, two 10 year olds, two 8 year olds and a 7 year old. They all attend a private
Christian school very close to our home.

So, does your head hurt now? Mine hurts all the time!!! No - not really. But everyone does keep me busy. Todd is the youngest and in first grade. So
that leaves me time to spend with the animals. I have always loved animals as long as I can remember and also as long as I can remember I wanted to
be a veterinarian. Well, I got married and started a family instead. But I do still have a passion for animals. I love all animals, even the creepy crawly
ones that make everyone else squirm. I am so very happy that I am finally at a place in my life where I can stay home, take care of my family and
have all my animals. Especally the dogs. I absolutely love every aspect of breeding from taking care of my adult dogs to finding the puppies new homes.
I love meeting new people and staying in touch with them. So be prepared to have a new friend (besides the puppy) if you buy a puppy from me. I also
occationally take in unwanted or homeless dogs. Go to my adoptable dogs page for more info on that.

My husband isn't so much the animal lover, but he is slowly learning to just give in. (I think it's easier for him that way. Did I mention we have been
married for 15 years.) Jerry does help a lot with the dogs. I couldn't do any of it without him. Seriously, thank you so much, Jerry, for everything
you do for me and all that you put up with. He helps with building kennels, keeping up on maintenance, carrying heavy bags of dogfood, and he also
likes to play with the dogs, even though he doesn't like to admit it. On top of that he works very hard as a manager, his adult day care as he likes to
call them. He manages the lube bay at a large truck stop and has enough stress just with that, on top of coming home to all the animals and kids!

We would love for you to come out and meet our family and see all the animals on the farm. We enjoy living here and I enjoy sharing my passion for
animals with everyone. Thanks for considering a Kennyacres Basset.
