about kennyacres

Kennyacres is located in rural central Nebraska on 25 acres. We are about
1/2 hour from Grand Island, 1 1/2 hours from Lincoln and 2 1/2 hours
from Omaha. We have 6 beautiful children and lots of pets. Jen has always
loved animals and absolutely loves raising puppies. She works as a vet
assistant here in town. Jerry is the handyman around here and does all the
real hard work, besides working full time as a manager for a semi-truck
repair shop 45 minutes away from home. The kids also contribute to
helping with the puppies by giving them lots of play time and helping to
clean kennels, water and feed the dogs. It's lots of work but so worth it!

At this time we raise Basset Hounds, Pomeranians and Mini Schnauzers.
There are no plans to expand to any more breeds in the future. Each of
the breeds we have to offer have their positives and negatives and there is
a different reason why each was chosen. All 3 breeds get along well with
people of all ages and make wonderful, happy, loving pets for anyone and
any lifestyle.

Our top priority in breeding is the health of the puppy closely followed by
temperament. Each puppy is handled daily and is exposed to many household
sounds, other animals and different people. The pups are very used to
being handled and played with and by the time they go to their new homes
they are very confident, people oriented, outgoing puppies. We are very
proud of our dogs and our breeding program and we work very hard to
produce the best quality puppies possible. You can rest assured that if you
buy one of our puppies you will get a quality puppy and continued support
from us.
