Welcome to the webhome of Kennyacres . We are located in central Nebraska on 25 acres, about 1/2 hour
from Grand Island and about 1 1/2 hours from Lincoln. My husband and I have 6 beautiful children and lots of
pets. I have always loved animals and have always wanted to eventually breed dogs. I am very thankful that
I can be a stay at home mom and wife and that I now have the time to devote to breeding my dogs.

My only breeding male at this time is Stubby. We are proud that he acquired his APRI championship status in
October of 2008. Then there is Horatio. He is my newest male and was born here at Kennyacres on May 14th,
2009. He is not related to Stubby and I plan on using him as my second breeding male and I have high hopes
for him as a show dog. I also have 7 female bassets that are breeding age and 2 young girls that won't be
used for another year or so. And by that time I will be very close to retiring several of my older females. All
my bassets are registered with AKC and APRI. I also have several Pomeranians. I have a solid black male
that is APRI registered and around 8 lbs. My female poms are AKC and APRI registered. Pixie is a 10lb blue
merle parti and is beautiful. Brit is an orange sable that is around 10lbs. My Mini Schnauzers are my newest
breed. I have a breeding pair that are APRI registered. The male is black and around 12lbs and the female is
a platinum silver and she is also around 12 lbs. I breed each female only once per year, or every other heat
cycle, assuming they are healthy and I feel they are ready to be bred and I have people on the list for
puppies. Keeping my breeding stock healthy is very important to me and is my top concern. I can't have
healthy puppies if I don't have healthy moms and healthy dads. Each litter is carefully planned and
anticipated. We usually have a waiting list for our pups. Contact me to find out how you can get put on the
list.

I have dabbled with showing my dogs some. As I mentioned above, in October of 2008 Stubby earned his
championship status. Showing is lots of work but it is also a lot of fun. As fun and rewarding as showing my
dogs is, showing isn't the goal of my breeding operation, my goal is to breed for pet quality pups that also
conform to the breed standard. My dogs are totally a hobby for me and I absolutely love my dogs and want to
give families a chance to own a quality puppy at an affordable price.

My top priority in breeding is the health of the puppy closely followed by temperament. Each puppy is
handled daily by myself, my husband and all six of my kids. The puppies are very used to being handled and
played with, and by the time they go home to their new families they are very confident, people oriented
puppies. Our dogs are wonderful with all people, big and small, young and old and get along well with other
animals too. I am very proud of my dogs and my breeding program and I work very hard to produce the best
quality puppies I can. You can rest assured that if you buy one of my puppies you will get a quality puppy and
a friend for life.
